Hi, I'm Ellen
I’m a Creative Freelancer & Explorer. I’m originally from Northern Ireland, down near the great Mountains of Mourne, now based on the West Coast of Ireland.
Creativity is my passion, but I'm also lucky enough to have it as my full time career for the past 10 years. Using my knowledge & skillset in design, illustration & writing, I want to inspire others & instil change.
The outdoors is my biggest inspiration to do this. It lights me up, gives me a fire in my belly & keeps me grounded. All of my personal work is revolved around this. My adventures, muses & nature learnings.
I love a slow life, staying mindful, getting outside, being creative. Chasing beautiful views & like-minded souls.
Since coming back home to our wonderful island, I’ve been hiking & swimming my way around the country, getting to know more about the wildlife, heritage & communities throughout. I try to get involved as much as possible by helping with conservation & raising awareness for local community projects.
Combining Creativity, Strategy & Storytelling
Being creative is intertwined in everything I do. I create for fun & for a living. My personal work is highly inspired by nature & adventure, reflected in my illustrations or writing. Whereas my freelance work is fuelled by a love of problem solving, brainstorming & using my skills to make a difference. Check out my services page for more information..

Nature is my passion, & my meditation
In a nutshell, I...
have a dog called Max
thrive in nature
love creating for a living
been in the creative industry for 10 years
pretty obsessed with sunrises & sunsets
driven by a good work, life balance
obsessed with mountains
collect wildflowers
a very happy & bubbly person
enjoy chess by a cosy fire
always focus on the positives
been veggie for 14 years (not a phase)
drive around Ireland parking up pretty places
trying to draw & learn about trees & birds
My adventures, musings & learnings
I've found writing to be such a wonderful way of expressing myself. My learnings, personal thoughts & growth jotted down on paper. Not only this, but recalling my roadtrips & adventures, hopefully inspiring others to get out & soak up the outdoors.

Vanlife
In 2019 I bought my first van. A tiny little Ford Transit Connect that I simply converted & travelled around in for 8 months of the year. In 2022 I finally upgraded to a huge Citreon Relay. Now in 2024 I'm on my third van. The first one was too small, the second too big, the third is juuust right (for now).
I couldn't be happier on the road;
working with gorgeous views
watching sunrise from bed
parking up beside friends
using wing mirrors as face mirrors
appreciating the simple things
cherishing the luxuries
slowing down, living life outdoors
